People & Lifestyle
Los Altos Hills gets its name from its surroundings — the city is nestled in a group of rolling hills, granting the entire community a shroud of privacy. Because of the town's zoning regulations, which require a minimum lot size of one acre, most homes come equipped with acres of backyard land, giving homeowners breathtaking views of the surrounding Silicon Valley.
Many tech industry titans purchase homes in Los Altos Hills, both because they can afford to (this is one of the most expensive places to live in the entire country) and because of the quick, easy commute to the tech hubs of Menlo Park and Palo Alto. Living in this bucolic city, you'll find yourself amongst an elite enclave of Silicon Valley's biggest stars.
